Charters
Have the plane all to yourself, take what you want, and go pretty much anywhere! LPA usually has storage available for items you plan to charter a plane for. Please contact us to arrange a drop off time.
Seat Fares
Each paying passenger is allowed up to 50 pounds of freight each leg of the flight.
Excess freight is billed per pound and must be paid for in advance.
Check-in for flights is one hour prior to take-off, but passengers may drop off their freight up to a day in advance.
We have a freight room to securely hold your freight in advance of your flight, with limited fridge and freezer space if you’re traveling with groceries.
Flight Tours
We can take you on scenic flight tours of many different locations across the state of Alaska.
Some popular destinations out of Anchorage include Denali, the Chugach Mountains, the Turnagain Arm and Knik Arms of the Cook Inlet and the Matanuska-Susitna, Eklutna, Chickaloon and Knik glaciers.
Some popular destinations out of Port Alsworth include: Tanalian Mountain, Tanalian Falls, Lake Kontrashibuna, Lake Clark, Mt. Iliamna and the Tuxedni Glacier.
We can also take you on flights to view bears, caribou, whales and other native wildlife from the air.

Cargo
We haul a lot of cargo for companies and individuals. Common items include plywood & lumber, four-wheelers, animals (dead and alive), groceries, survey supplies, fire-fighting equipment, news crews, and oil drilling parts. Even boxes of rocks!
If it will fit into one of our planes we can probably get it where it needs to go.
Expediting
Do you need groceries delivered? Building supplies? An oil rig drill part?
We’re happy to recommend an expeditor to shop or pick up orders for you when you can’t!

Emergency Evacuations
If you are in an emergency situation, call 911.
Lake and Peninsula Airlines is available 24 hours a day for statewide emergency flights. We can quickly transport passengers to the nearest town with a hospital, and call ahead for an ambulance to meet our plane.
We are also available to transport bodies to Anchorage for the state coroner, as well as returning caskets and loved ones for funerals in their burial villages.
